We finally did it! Our website has been revamped and launched. Check it out! Same web address chapsinn.com New photo's, (well, we used some of the best old ones!) new look, pictures of all the rooms with description and square footage.
There is a change to accessing the blog. You will now have to go through the website, subscribe, send in your e-mail address and voila!! We'll change the word "Subscribe" to "Join". I think it sounds better.
Oh, and get this ... there is a translation app in several languages including Japanese! Who know what it really says!!
So, that's it folks. This blog is dead. I havn't figured out the new blog yet so give me time to get adjusted.

Hello! It's me! Can you hear me. I'm calling from the other side!!
Thanks Adele!!!!
Well, it's been a while but I thought I would share with you that today is going to be the hottest day of the year so far @ 118f (47.77c!). Tomorrow is forecast to be hotter @121f (49.44c to be precise!).
Now, the thermometer outside only goes up to 120f so then what happens? Does the mercury come spilling out the top?
We've bought ourselves new cell phones. It only took us a week to learn how to answer the damned things!! I havn't figured out how to download pictures yet.
Oh, the local paper is all about how to keep cool, avoid sunstroke or die. Cheerful???
We're off to England towards the end of next month. It'll probably be raining!!! I keep getting asked whether I would vote to stay in the EU if I lived there. Yes, I would vote to stay in. The politicians are pandering to peoples fears and prejudices just like Trump. I think anything the ex mayor of London, Boris Johnson is for, I'd be against it!!
So there!!!
Keep well and safe.

Quite the performance!!!
Well, it was a 3 ring circus plus a 5 ring circus so I suppose that makes it an eight ring circus. I am talking about last Tuesday when Southern California Edison closed our street both ends to install a new transformer and new poles.
Here are a few pictures. The crane which whisked the poles into the air and across us to reach the corner of next door at the back. It was all done by expertise and no accidents. Why, in this day and age are we still using pine trunks for electricity poles???

We're still here!!!
Happy New Year to you all. Sorry I havn't posted on the blog for a while. A WHILE????? SINCE OCTOBER!!!!! OMG!!!
Compared to last year when Stuart had been into the hospital for treatment for bladder cancer, the year has started off very well.
At the moment we are having the spa re-piped. The old copper pipes we beginning to stain the plaster. Sooooo .... we bit the bullet and here is the (unfinished) result. The plaster gets put on today (hopefully). The grey area is where the old concrete was dug out to a depth of 4 feet which seemed incredibly deep. The piles of sand have disappeared which provided a huge litter tray and playground for our three 'yard cats'. Can't call them feral cats anymore because they've all been given names .. Jack, Bumbrey and Mr. Marmalade. We also replaced the depth indicators only to discover a new Riverside County Health Inspectors new rule. The old numbers being replaced were just marked with the figure 3. Now they have to be marked 3ft. Go figure!!
